What is the attraction of Johnstowners to Applebees? Why is that place always packed?
I just don't get it.

23 oz. Sam Adams draft and triple appetizer menu? I prefer the Altoona Applebee's bar, myself.....but then I'm sooooooooo middle class...  |

....Its a default kind of thing. I dont like Red Lobster. Mrs Nobuler doesnt like the cattle corrals like Ryans and Ponderosa so that only leaves Applebees, or Lonestar. This is Johnstown where choices are very limited.
Also, its a bit of an illusion as often it looks from outside to be more packed than it really is. Maybe they rent some cars to put in the lot or something.

Personally, I don't like the place, however, our elderly neighbors always get my husband and I a gift certificate from there for Christmas because we deliver groceries to them a good bit when we go out. We've told them several times we don't want anything for doing it but they insist! What I noticed is when we go there, and we've been there for lunch and supper, is that there are a lot of elderly people there. For some reason elderly people like that place and it's always busy when we go there as well. If it weren't for the gift certificate, my husband and I wouldn't go there at all. I really don't care much for the food. But hey, to each their own!

One and done at RYANS was forced to go and would never set foot in there again. People just freaking gorging themselves, I could of puked. |

You think that's their last supper!!! They have a lunch buffet at Quaker Steak and Lube. One of the more disgusting, public display of gluttony that I have ever witnessed.....

I'll bet it didn't! We paid out of pocket to cover the rest of the meal. But that's OK. I took the 10 cent tip you left your waitress and put it on our table!  |
