Too crowded
Too artsy fartsy
Too green and yellow

Too expensive

Too violent

Too starchy

Too irrelevant

Too juvenile

What else is there to do?

Sure is lots to do.  Especially this weekend.

But sadly, as expected, the Tribune neglected to mention the Ethnic Fest on the front page, relegating it to its weekend publication, giving it scant mention.

Now, when the Friends of the Tribune held their Music Fest, it warranted front page attention before, during, and after the event................fil led with superlatives about how the event was nearly nirvana.

The Ethnic Fest will draw many, many more people than the Music Fest, but will remain uncovered for the most part.  A token mention, like expected.

I also see that the Discovery Center is paying for security to guard its lot during the Ethnic Fest, making sure no one has the audacity to park there.  Yeah, no anomosity there.

At least the Tribune makes room for the nice Trojan news letter.   Grin

Oh, here's the stuff going on at UPJ Homecoming

http://www.upj.pitt.edu/21669/

The only downside I see is that David Willey is not scheduled to do a science demonstration.  He's the "mad scientist" who has been on the Tonight Show.  Last year the weather was horrible for his show, but fun nonetheless.

On the plus side, Our Town had an article and the schedule in it.  Maybe I'm wrong, didn't the Somerset newspaper start the Our Town thing?

My halupki is a 1000 times better than that undercooked crap they sell at the Ethnic Festival. They do make a better kielbasa and kraut sandwich than I do however.

That would involve too much typing on my part. I try to stick to my 50 words or less policy as much as possible.

I thought you paid for it.

Holy Cross Lutheran Church paid for a nice full page ad in the Trib inviting festival goers to their section of Chestnut St.
