Went to lake Erie 2 weeks ago. Stayed near the lake in my cousins camper. This was in Perry Ohio. OMG was it ever beautiful!!! The lake took my breath away! It met the horizon like there was no end to it!!! Never seen a lake that huge in my life! It was awesome!

Gazing out at the lake one can easily be fooled into believing you're at the ocean.

I've never been to any of the five, but I read that the lakes are so big that they have islands that have lakes.

My cousin had a boat ride lined up for us, but when my daughter saw the water, she said I don't want to go on a boat ride, I'm scared! So I suggested that my cousin, husband, and my cousins friend go and I stay with my daughter on land. The water was a bit choppy that evening so they ended up not going. But I would have loved to go out on the boat! Maybe next time! The night air by the lake was awesome, it was cool and breezy, the camper was right near the water!
