Beck rally on anniversary of King's 'Dream' speech

"When we heard about Glenn Beck, it was puzzling," the Rev. Al Sharpton said. "Because if you read Dr. King's speech, it just doesn't gel with what Mr. Beck or Mrs. Palin are representing."

"The 8-28 rally is supposedly is about 'reclaiming the civil rights movement,' but it is being led by someone whose idea of a racist is the president of the United States," said Jess Levin, a spokesman for the liberal Media Matters for America, an organization that has targeted Beck, Fox News Channel and Schlessinger. "This rally is about one thing and one thing only. And that's promoting Beck's political agenda."

This is what I can't figure out, if the left feels that Beck is doing nothing but lying about everything, then why do they even bother with him.   If he is lying won't that come out in the wash and America will see for themselves?   Or are American's so stupid according to Media Matters that they could just never see a lie for what it is?

I just find it  strange is all, if the man speaks nonsense then why continue to waste your life slamming him?

I am guessing that both sides see the other as a threat to what they are trying to achieve.

What really freaks me out is that there are people in America who not only admire Glenn Beck  but want to follow him around as some kind of  a leader despite the obvious fact that his entire personna is nothing but schtick.

YOu know Yo Beck has never said anything but good things about Al Sharpton.  Rev has even been on Becks show a time or two or three.

There are some things they see eye to eye on.  Others they don't sounds like most of America to me.  Does this mean that American's are afraid of American's?  And where do you think that is gonna lead us?

weiner, i never heard anyone, left or right, accuse beck of lying about anything or everything. I like to watch beck because he brings drama to the table to make his points, chalkboards, graphs, charts, superimposed quotes and a pointing stick, pacng back and forth, exhorting, and all that made for tv news magazine stuff. Beck engages the independents. thats his schtick. CLEVER.

Oh you might think he is a dickhead but he held the largest Christian gathering ever held in the USA yesterday and it was great.
