Thanks, A! I'm guess the ring is set up in the middle of the field and general seating is the stadium seating.

Saw a flyer yesterday at Ann's Pizza for it. Had Taylor and Eli Garshnick as well as one other name/pic on that I can't remember now. Garshnick was fighting for an MMA 185(?) lb belt IIRC. Didn't pick up the flyer so not sure of what they will do with an inclement weather day.

I was hoping Taylor would be fighting "Big Truck" ... maybe next fight.
Not only is this yet something else to do in the J, but they actually have something scheduled at the Point! Perhaps if this draws a large crowd they'll start looking at scheduling more events there.

I hope it draws a good crowd or some poster will be biitching about it. I wonder if they will have anything set up in case of bad weather. |

Hmmm, interesting question. Based on the size of the ring and the number of tables and people that were at the inside fights, they'd have to have an alternative location for bad weather. Or buy-out the stock of tarps at Ollie's.

That reminds me ... I heard once that they spent as much on the Point Stadium renovations as Altoona did on Blair County Ballpark.
Being that there is a sizable difference, does anyone know if that's true?

I'm a bit surprised to see that Carlton Haselrig isn't listed on the card. I know he's taken a couple of beatings in his brief MMA career but I figured he'd be in the main event since it's in Johnstown. |
