Former presidents are blamed for all sorts of things, both fairly and unfairly.  Some is valid; some is not.  This isn't novel.

And when it suits a party to turn on one of their own for gain.....

well, her biggest problem to me seems to be that, for this real big problem she was trying to address for an entire industry, ONLY ONE BANK showed up, coincidentally, it just happened to be the one that her husband is part owner of.
