okay the money is available to keep hospitals running so WHY ARE HOSPITAL WORKERS NOT GETTING PAID !!!! Sounds much like the Enron, Bernie Madoff and other USA instances under the GWBush Admin and I bet a few are pocketing bundles of cash too..namely Halliburton, Blackwater & all the other evil-doers he assiociates with  Angry

Yes weiner, Obama has the same powers as the good Lord and can summon an earthquake at the twich of his nose huh?

Obama was only the POTUS when Haiti experienced this tragic quake and also when Chile had theirs. Aside from the President committing to AID and some military forces for relief that was all of his response. It was Bill Clinton & GeeW who volunteered to administer the massive donations to help Haiti recover. Now it seems only Bill is admonishing donors to begin paying pleges and geeW might be in Crawford chopping brush because if it has nothing to do with Big Oil or GOP donors he really has nothing to offer anyone, including those in Haiti with NOTHING

WF, maybe you should read the story about the thugs chasing women and children out of hteir only shelter.

Haiti is a problem because Hati is a problem. They do little to help themselves. Rather like you they wait for someone to save them.

No Clinton and Bush joined together to help raise funds for Haiti, I never heard them say it would be a massive amount.  It seems they are having the most trouble with international donations as in people who promised to send money and are now backing out, maybe because the see it as a waste of their money?  Maybe because they know that the money will not get to where it is supposed to go?  Maybe because this economy has caught many big livers off guard and they now can't afford to give?  The US has given enough to that nation if they can't pull themselves up by their own bootstraps then I don't really know if they deserve the help we have already given them.  It seems to me that since all the movie stars are still down there pushing to get help maybe they should all open their purse strings and they could own the Island and really help those people out.  That will never happen because for all the talking most of them do, their action never match their words.
