Wallace's hands are unproven as well.

......what makes you say this?  He looked pretty damn good last year.

anyway, if Polamalu does not return to form, the defense may struggle once again.....they couldn't stop anybody last year.........the offense is the least of my worries, even with Leftwich at QB.  (they must improve in the Red Zone!!!)

Mike Wallace is fast but can he beat double coverage, which he'll see a lot of. Who is the other wideout? Sweed was placed on IR and will miss the 2010 season. Randle-El isn't a deep threat wideout, he thrives in the slot. Wallace's hands are unproven as well.
Without a great running game the steelers will struggle when they have to throw the ball.
I expect to hear alot of "THE STEELERS CAN'T RUN THE BALL, THEY CAN'T THROW THE BALL AND THEY CAN'T SCORE" this year.
T O may be outspoken and hot headed, but he could be a short term solution that can be had for a good price.

What do you consider a good price and why do you think he will sign somewhere for cheap?  he played for 6.5 mil last year, that would put him in the steelers top 5 in compensation.

Just guessin, but i would venture to say that Wallace doesn't even have but about 25 or 30 catchs last year. He might have caught 2 balls a game for 32 catchs.

I saw T O on the nfl network last week. He wants to play and time is short because training camp starts next month. He knows it takes time to adjust to a new system and he needs to get a whole camp in if he wants to play and contribute. Id offer him a 2 year deal for 3 million- with the chance to make 3 million more in incentives.[say 1000 yards, 100 catchs and 16 towchdowns]
The steelers are doing things they never used to do - like bringing back players that left for greener pastures- Randle-El, McFadden, Foote.
Love him or hate him, there is no denying that T O is one of the best in history and he takes good enough care of himself to play a few more years. Of course, I'm just thinkin about winning. I wish they wouldn't have lost holmes because he could make the big play.

I'm not tryin to stir up a hornets nest, I just think it would be good business to pick up T O. When you say that, you have to make a case for it or you look uninformed. I'm not tryin to beat a dead horse, but i don't think you can make a case against it and offer examples. Yeah, i know the media says T O is a cancer in the locker room and he does go on camera and come off the wall, but media makes more of it than it is, which causes even more trouble. Tomlin could handle him, and the steelers have enough veterans to keep a handle on it. "Just win baby"

is one of the best in history

KEY WORD ---- - HISTORY

....his better days are behind him.....besides that, the Rooneys and the Steeler Organization would not sign T.O for 2 six-packs of Coke.........they just do not operate that way, shoe........and you keep saying Tomlin could handle him....holy smokes, Tomlin cannot even handle the current crop of players......Tomlin may be looking for a job in the very near future...........

......and they didn't "lose' Smoketonio.....they traded him to the NY Jets (so long, aloha)

Mike Wallace caught 39 balls for 756 yards for a 19.4 yard average....pretty darn good considering the Steelers had (2) 1000 yard receivers ahead of him last year.........this kid is fast..........If only #7 had an arm to get him the ball.......look for Leftwich to be able to cut Mike Wallace loose.......
