Staal at 21 is a presence.  He's a big boy and can put the puck in the net.  I don't want to see him come back too soon.  Pens need to get the puck behind Halak first.  Playoff hockey, best game in town.

A guy walks into a bar and asks the bartender to make him an Ovechkin.  The bartender being unsure of what is in the drink asks, "what is that"?  The customer smiles and says " a White Russian without a CUP"!

MAF has actually played pretty decently this series.  A few defensive lapses have cost him some goals but not all of them have been soft as he has been prone to in the past.  The d has been getting burned a lot.  They need more than MAF to step up tomorrow night to be able to win.

I'm happy with 3 goals against Halak, but your right, you just can't let it all on Fleury, D needs to be there. Goal off Letang's skate sure wasn't his fault.  He did have a shutout, but he has let some soft ones in, and that's OK iff your guys are putting it in the net.  goals are at a premium this series.

The 2 early calls and especially the one on Crosby threw them off their game IMO.  That and this Montreal team seems to be playing like their '86 Cup winning team with Halak looking a lot like Patrick Roy.

Another thing is the number of games the Pens had played over the previous 2 seasons as a team plus the Olympic tournament.  Detroit was in the same boat this year with the games played being very close to 300 for both(regular season=246 + playoffs).

Should be an interesting off-season.

It was certainly a bad time for the Pens to have a bad game.  I have to give props to Montreal, they seen an opportunity and stepped up their game, I think any team would have done the same thing.  If I understood the announcers last night, the first and last games at Melon Arena were losses against Montreal, that's a little weird.
