While I appreciate that the repairs were relatively quick, If PennDOT was doing the repairs they would probably still have the survey team out there calculating all the dimensions and determing needed materials, but they should have been a bit more pro-active and had the track ready for a big race like this.

Potholes in Florida?  Pretty rare.

But I would sooner be one caught cheating on Valentine's Day that the person responsible for track maintenance at Daytona.  Grin

Note: That is only for how much trouble I would be in today, not because I wish to be faithful to MY Valentine

Congrats to Jamie McMurray. That definitely was a long race, and yes, it's a little disheartening to have had that long of delay because of a "pothole", but I'd rather have a delay because of that  than a really bad accident.

I've always liked Dale, Jr., and that was great to see him finish in 2nd. I know I wouldn't want to be in his shoes always being compared by people and media to his father. Kind of like the same thing Kyle Petty went through.
