I think i would like to see Mark Martin win the 500 today, he has never won one.......if not him then Jeff Gordon.

I pick Gordon to win it all this year......you heard it here 1st.

No Fantasy team...I am sure that makes it more interesting over the course of the year.....

For sure Martin is the sentimental favorite in the eyes of many.
I'm not so sure Gordon will be a contender this year with the Rainbow Warriors. I'm beginning to think his best days are behind him.

Look for Earnhardt to have a break out season.

Smokey to take it all.

Gordo since having a baby is afraid to get hurt.. racing too safe.  He's ready to retire.. as for Junior, already in pits.. well, he needs to do promos only. Just because your name is Earnhardt, it doesn't mean you can race... um, just my opinion!

This year, look for Martin (who is ready to win) and Stewart..

You wrote what a lot of us has thought for years, that is, JR just doesn't have the drive  Grin as did the Intimidator. Yet I believe he will finish better than last years dismal season.

My man Mark is going big this year! I want him to win already so he can retire.

You're right molmarsa...I think this would be the missing part of the puzzle for Mark.

How bout Mark, Smoke finishing 1-2

Can you name any other driver that has the drive #3 had?

Good one red...

I don't think he compares to # 3 but, Kyle Busch...this guy would run his mother over to win a race.

Can you name any other driver that has the drive #3 had?

Richard Childress drove the 3 before he got Earnhardt who drove the #2 Wrangler car during his rookie of the year campaign in 1979.  The next year was the first of his 7 championships.

Too bad that he couldn't pull off the 92 title or he would of had 5 in a row then.  At least Alan Kulwicki took the championship in the #7 Hooters 'Underbird that year.

As for this year would like to see the 14 and 5 do well all year.  Either one can win the 500 and I would be happy.

Need to come up with a nickname for him.  There was Jimmy 'the Ramblin' wreck' Spencer from Berwick, PA and we still have 'Reckless' Robby Gordon out there.  I agree that Kyle would do whatever it takes to win.  Saw him last year at Martinsville in the pre-race when he came to the Toyota stage.  He looked a little nuts.
